Opening of the post-competition exhibition
In two weeks starts the biggest Polish book fair: the Warsaw Book Fair. It takes place between 18th and 21st of May in the National Stadium in Warsaw. This is a special time for all book-lovers – publishers, booksellers, readers and authors.
This is also a perfect moment to thank all the participants, partners and jury members for taking part in the 2nd edition of the CLAIRVOYANTS and invite you to the opening of the post-competition exhibition. During the opening we will award the finalists with diplomas and show a special animation based on the awarded projects.
The event will take place on Thursday 18th May at 6 p.m. in Dwie Siostry Bookshop (al. 3 Maja 2, Warsaw). The exhibition will stay here until 24th May.
Only two weeks later it will travel to the Baltic Sea Cultural Centre in Gdańsk, where it will be exhibited between 30th May and 18th June. The opening will be a part of the official inauguration of the Festival of Literature for Children and will take place on Tuesday 30th May at 7 p.m. in Baltic Sea Cultural Centre (33/35 Korzenna Str., Gdańsk).

Results of the II edition
In May 2016 the Dwie Siostry Publishing announced the second edition of CLAIRVOYANTS – an international competition for an illustrated children’s book project. We received 380 projects from 34 countries.
The jury sitting took place in the Podchorążówka (Officer Cadet School) building situated in the Royal Łazienki Garden in Warsaw between 25th and 27th of January 2017. The entries were evaluated by two independent juries.

The jury sitting of the 2nd edition of Clairvoyants Competition took place at the end of January, in the Royal Lazienki Museum in Warsaw.
Our foreign guests – Juraj Horváth and Åshild Kanstad Johnsen – have arrived in Warsaw. Polish members of the international jury – Grzegorz Kasdepke and Monika Hanulak – were nice enough to prioritise the jury sessions over duties. For those few days, the Officer Cadets School in Royal Lazienki Park has become the headquarters of Dwie Siostry Publishing.
It was a very intense, but still very productive time. The submitted projects were carefully judged by the international jury and the jury of the publishing house. The competition was though, but the consensus was reached. The results will be announced on 15th of March 2017!
We are very grateful to our partners, who helped us with the organization of the jury sessions: The Royal Lazienki Museum, NORLA Foundation and the Czech Centre.

Call for entries closes!
Hurray! We’re finally done with collecting projects for the CLAIRVOYANTS competition.
This edition is even more international then the first one: we received 380 projects from 35 countries!
The first entries flew to us from the most remote corners of the planet: from Japan, China, Uzbekistan, Israel and Turkey. Shortly after they were joined by parcels from Australia, Canada, USA, Brazil, Iran, Greece, Portugal, Sweden, Italy, Czech Republic, Hungary, Ukraine, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Russia, UK, Spain, Belgium, Belarus, the Netherlands, Austria, Romania, France, Germany, Slovenia and Slovakia.
The jury sitting is coming soon and the results of the competition will be announced on the 15th of March!
International competition for an illustrated children's book project. Second edition.
The first edition of the Clairvoyants competition turned out to be a success. The number of entries exceeded our boldest expectations: there were over 520 works submitted – many of them were very intriguing!
We can already enjoy the first fruits of the competition. A Grand Prix by the international jury, Kawalerka (Bachelor’s Pad) by Weronika Przybylska, has been published early this year. A Grand Prix by the jury of the Dwie Siostry Publishing Wieża Babel (Tower of Babel) will be launched in October under the title Ala ma kota. A Ali? (Ala has a cat. And Ali?).
Three other titles – Zakątki (Corners of the world) by Michalina Rolnik, Okularki (Specs) and Król (King) written by Ewa Madeyska and illustrated by Kasia Matyjaszek, a finalist of the Clairvoyants competition – came to life thanks to the cooperation between Dwie Siostry Publishing and the outstanding participants of the competition.
The most captivating entries have been compiled to create an interactive post-competition exhibition, which has been travelling all over Poland and later on has been published in cooperation with the National Centre for Culture Poland in a book form as an interactive post-competition catalogue.

Therefore, with yet a greater joy and enthusiasm, we announce the second edition of the international competition for an illustrated children book CLAIRVOYANTS 2016!
We continue to cherish the ideas and values that had underlain the first edition of the contest: the ambition to awake young artists’ creative potential, the care for an aesthetic and editorial quality of children’s books, the pursuit to determine the highest standards in the field and to support development of Polish children’s books and their position abroad.
The direct aim of the competition is to launch the process of creating beautiful and valuable books for children and to discover talented artists and give them chance to become known on the Polish and international book market.
The competition is open to both newcomers and experienced artists from Poland and abroad, participating individually or in a team. Participants need to be at least 18.
The purpose of the competition is to prepare a project (draft) of an illustrated children book in Polish or in English language. Submitted works should include a script or a storyboard of the whole book, together with 3 finished double spreads and the cover.
Submitted projects will be assessed according to the following criteria: artistic quality of the work, originality, the form which inspires child’s imagination and the content which takes into account child’s sensitivity.
Competition works will be assessed by two independent juries:
1. International jury chaired by Monika Hanulak.
2. The Dwie Siostry Publishing jury chaired by Ewa Stiasny.
Competitors may be awarded with 3 categories of prizes:
1. The main prize of EUR 2,500 and two honourable mentions – by the international jury;
2. Book publication – by the Dwie Siostry Publishing House jury;
3. Participation of best competing works in the post-competition exhibition.

Post-competition exhibition
Dwie Siostry Publishing would like to invite you to an official opening of an exhibition of 48 most interesting projects submitted to the international competition for an illustrated children book project ‘CLAIRVOYANTS’.

The opening will take place on Thursday, May 14th, 4:00 PM next to the title chart, at the main entrance to the National Stadium in Warsaw (gate nr 2, Washington roundabout).
During the exhibition opening the competition finalists will be awarded with special diplomas. Next the Pigeon animation studio, a partner of the competition, will announce its special mentions for the projects with the greatest potential to be adapted into animation.
The exhibition will be presented at the 6th Warsaw Book Fair (May 14th–17th 2015) during the Fair opening hours at the main entrance to the National Stadium in Warsaw (gate nr 2).
Diversity and unique character of 48 remarkable projects distinguished by CLAIRVOYANTS Juries will be highlighted by unconventional form of exposition, encouraging children to play with their imagination.
An active sightseeing tours of the exhibition for children are available on the following days:

Results of the I edition
On the 17th of May 2014 the Dwie Siostry Publishing announced the first edition of CLAIRVOYANTS – an international competition for an illustrated children’s book project.
We received 521 projects from 25 countries: Australia, Austria, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, India, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden, Ukraine, and the United States of America.
The submitted works were not only numerous, but also very diverse. Most of their authors are young artists from big academic centres in Poland, but we have also received entries by both experienced artists and amateurs. The jury remarked the high level of the submitted works.
